KeryFlex Nail Restoration

If damaged, discoloured or unsightly toenails are affecting your confidence, KeryFlex offers a clinically safe, cosmetically beautiful solution — applied right here at our Balgowlah podiatry clinic.

KeryFlex is a professional nail restoration system applied exclusively by trained podiatrists. It creates a flexible, natural-looking prosthetic nail over damaged or missing nails, giving you results that look and feel like a healthy, natural nail — without the risks associated with acrylic nails or nail salons.

All six podiatrists at Sydney Podiatry Co are certified in KeryFlex application.

What Is KeryFlex?

KeryFlex is a resin-based nail restoration system developed specifically for use in a podiatry clinic setting. It is applied directly over the natural nail or nail bed to create a durable, realistic-looking nail that moves naturally with your foot.

Unlike acrylic nails applied at a nail salon, KeryFlex is:

  • Non-porous, meaning it does not harbour moisture, bacteria or fungal spores
  • Flexible and natural in movement, reducing pressure on the nail bed
  • Applied and maintained in a sterile clinical environment by a registered podiatrist
  • Compatible with antifungal treatments, allowing underlying conditions to be treated simultaneously
  • Safe for long-term use

Who Is KeryFlex For?

KeryFlex is suitable for patients experiencing:

  • Fungal nail infections causing discolouration, thickening or nail loss
  • Nails damaged or lost through trauma or injury
  • Nails thinned or distorted by medical conditions
  • Naturally misshapen, ridged or unsightly nails
  • Nail loss following ingrown toenail surgery

It is also an excellent option for anyone who regularly wears open-toed shoes or sandals and feels self-conscious about the appearance of their toenails.

KeryFlex vs Acrylic Nails

Many patients come to us having tried acrylic overlays at nail salons. While acrylics can temporarily improve appearance, they carry significant risks for foot health including trapping moisture, worsening fungal infections and damaging the natural nail beneath.

KeryFlex is fundamentally different:

  • Applied by an AHPRA-registered podiatrist, not a beauty technician
  • Formulated specifically for toenails, which behave differently to fingernails
  • Breathable and non-porous, supporting nail health beneath the restoration
  • Safe to use alongside medicated antifungal nail treatments
  • Applied in a fully sterile environment

For patients who want beautiful nails without compromising their foot health, KeryFlex is the clinically responsible choice.

Before & After

Keryflex Results Before and After

Our results speak for themselves. The images above show real patient outcomes achieved at Sydney Podiatry Co by our certified KeryFlex podiatrists.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your KeryFlex appointment is straightforward and comfortable. Your podiatrist will begin by assessing the condition of your natural nail and nail bed, addressing any underlying skin or nail concerns before applying the restoration.

The KeryFlex resin is applied in layers and cured using a UV lamp, building a nail that is shaped, buffed and finished to your natural nail profile. The result is immediate — you leave the clinic with a restored, natural-looking nail on the same day.

KeryFlex can be painted with regular nail polish and is compatible with our Flawless Feet Medical Pedicure for patients who want a complete cosmetic foot treatment in one visit.

How Long Does KeryFlex Last?

KeryFlex is a durable restoration but will require maintenance as your natural nail grows. Your podiatrist will advise on an appropriate maintenance schedule based on your nail growth rate and the condition being treated. Most patients return every six to eight weeks.

Health Fund Rebates

KeryFlex is a cosmetic treatment and is generally not claimable through private health insurance. However, where KeryFlex is applied as part of a broader podiatry consultation addressing an underlying nail condition, a partial rebate may apply. Our team can advise on this at your appointment.
